Remove the "AI Info"
tag from your photos.

AI tools and new phones quietly stamp your images with C2PA content credentials — the exact data Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn read to slap a "AI Info" label on your post. Wype strips those tags, plus GPS, EXIF and every other hidden trace, in one click.

The "Made with AI" problem

Why your post gets labeled — and how to stop it

If you've ever seen an "Imagined with AI" badge stuck on your image, this is why. It comes down to one invisible passenger riding inside the file.

01 · The stamp

Content credentials

AI generators (ChatGPT, Grok, Firefly, DALL·E, Gemini, Midjourney) and new phones like Pixel embed a signed C2PA manifest into your file.

02 · The read

The platform detects it

On upload, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn scan for that manifest and use it to decide what your post is.

03 · The label

"AI Info" appears

A badge gets attached automatically — and on most feeds that tag quietly suppresses reach and trust.

Wype removes the manifest, so the badge has nothing to trigger on: AI Info → gone.
The invisible passengers

Everything Wype strips out

One image can carry dozens of hidden tags. Wype removes all of them — not just the AI ones — and shows you exactly what was there.

AI generation tags

C2PA content credentials, provenance manifests and embedded prompts from Firefly, DALL·E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion and more.

Your exact location

GPS coordinates pinpoint where a shot was taken — often your home, to within a few metres. Critical for Marketplace, email and messaging where this isn't stripped.

Device fingerprint

Make, model and serial-level details of your exact phone or camera — a trail that links every photo back to you.

Exact timestamps

The precise date, time and timezone a shot was captured — enough to reconstruct your movements.

Edit history & software

Which apps touched the file, hidden captions, author names and XMP editing trails baked into the image.

IPTC, comments & more

Captions, copyright blocks, embedded thumbnails and comment segments. Wype wipes every metadata block, leaving only the picture.

Dead simple

No accounts. No uploads. No waiting on a server to "process" your private photos.

Your photo never leaves your device

Wype runs entirely in your browser. There's no server, no upload, no copy stored anywhere. You could turn off your Wi-Fi and it would still work perfectly. That's not a promise — it's how it's built.

Questions

Good to know

Why does Instagram label my image "AI Info"?
Platforms like Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn read C2PA "Content Credentials" embedded in the file by AI tools and newer phones. When they detect that manifest, they automatically attach a "AI Info" or "Made with AI" label to your post.
Will removing the credentials stop the AI label?
Removing the C2PA manifest and metadata removes the signal those labels are based on, so in most cases the label no longer triggers. Note that some platforms also use invisible watermarks (like SynthID) that live in the pixels — metadata removal can't touch those, so it isn't guaranteed in every case.
Is it legal to remove C2PA / Content Credentials?
For your own images it's generally fine — it's your file. Removing provenance from content you don't own raises legal questions, and from August 2026 the EU AI Act may require AI-disclosure markers for content distributed in Europe. Use Wype for your own content and check the rules that apply to you.
Is my photo really not uploaded?
Yes. All scanning and stripping happens inside your own browser using JavaScript — your image is never sent over the network. You can verify this in your browser's network tab, or simply disconnect from the internet and watch it still work.
Does cleaning reduce my photo's quality?
No. For JPG, PNG and WebP, Wype surgically removes only the metadata segments and leaves the actual image data byte-for-byte untouched. The picture you download is pixel-identical to the original — just without the hidden information.
Which formats are supported, and is it free?
JPG, PNG and WebP get lossless metadata stripping. Other formats (including HEIC where your browser can decode it) are cleaned via a fresh re-encode, which also removes all metadata. It's free with no account — because everything runs on your device, there are no server costs to pass on.
Can I clean multiple photos at once?
Yes — drop or select as many images as you like and Wype cleans the whole batch in one pass, then lets you download them one by one or all together as a single ZIP. The entire batch is processed on your device, with nothing uploaded.
